This is an information page only for prospective Apex artistes,  if you are a booker, casting director, producer, promoter, record label, etc.. please contact us by email or telephone for access to our main site.  However whilst we maintain an internet presence we are not a predominantly internet based business preferring to offer an individual and personal service to all clients and customers.

Apex represents new talented bands and singers who are seeking a professional career but are not currently under agency or management contract.

Apex endeavours to search out talent by attending various music venues. However please be aware that even if we do approach you, we will know little about you at that time and therefore might prove not to be the most suitable agency for your talents.     Artistes can also approach us directly but should read all the information on this page and be 18+, or have parental consent, before doing so.  If having read this page you have questions to ask, then please preferably email them or alternatively telephone on the number/s below.

Initial contact should include your name and contact details along with a summary of your background covering any training, gigs/public performances, private recordings, photo shoots, charity events...... and if you have a website or any web links to Facebook, YouTube, MySpace or similar sites where we can see photographs of you and/or hear your music or see you perform, then please include these.

If having read your details we are interested in progressing things further we will contact you to arrange an audition.  If possible we prefer to audition bands and singers live at one of their gigs,  however if this isn't possible we will arrange a private audition.

Apex offers an individual and personal service to our artistes and can assure you there are no upfront fees. Apex's fees will form a percentage of the artistes earnings if we are able to secure them work.  Any band or singer who is auditioned and then invited to register with Apex is under no obligation to do so.   We do not tie anyone initially to an exclusive contract.

If under18 years old you must have parental consent to contact us and if interviewed and/or auditioned you must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.  Sorry, but we do not accept anyone under 16 except in exceptional circumstances (for instance, one member of a band may be younger than the others) and then of course they would require an adult chaperone or the permission of their parents to be under the supervision of an older band member.     

Bands should be self contained (have and play their own instruments)  Note : if invited to a private audition, bands will have to bring their instruments and equipment, therefore please ensure we are within reasonable travelling distance before applying.

It is unlikely any artiste without appropriate training and/or experience will be considered.  There seems to be a current thought by many people, probably brought about by popular television talent shows, that stars are born and not made.  However, whilst an artiste may have natural talent and possess the raw ingredients for success these usually need to be honed and refined through specialist training at a school or college or through private music/instrument teaching, vocal coaching and of course experience.

Apex is a small agency with a limited number of artistes on our books, therefore even if selected for audition there may be some waiting time before you are seen. 

If successful and you are signed to Apex (artiste) Management you need to be aware that professional auditions and work opportunities maybe in London and you will be expected to travel at your own expense. Additionally, artistes are expected to provide Apex with on-line or hard copy recordings and photographs.

If an artiste is still in full time education they should consider very carefully whether they wouldn't be better to wait until their education is complete before considering a music career.

Apex is very selective in contracting talented artistes, even so artistes can receive many rejections by potential employers before success occurs and some may never achieve success. Neither Apex or any other agency can give guarantees or make any promises about future career possibilities.   Careers in the performing arts, entertainment and music industries are precarious and even considerable talent combined with enthusiasm and commitment is not a guaranteed recipe for success.
